I was born and raised in New Mexico. Now I call Michigan home. My family and I enjoy traveling all over the country, although the West holds a particular spot in my heart.
Our family, complete with three young boys and one old dog, has traveled all over the United States, pulling a travel trailer and camping along the way.
Someone once asked what I would do with one last day on this Earth. Yikes - big question! I found it surprisingly easy to answer. I would spend the day outside with my family, surrounded by nature's beauty. What a world God has created!
When our family started RV camping, I looked around for camping books with an RV focus, opposed to just tents. While general camping books abounded, specific books featuring RVs were nowhere to be found. So I wrote one. ;-)
I have a degree in journalism, and I worked most of my career as a technical writer and editor with the U.S. Government. Now I'm a full-time mom, part-time writer, all-the-time cheerleader of reading and books.
"Goodnight, Campsite" was my debut children's book. Lots of learning and mistakes in that little book, but it was a start and I believe in starts. "The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step." -- Lao Tzu
